Lyon attacker Alexandre Lacazette has refused to close the door on a possible summer move to Liverpool.
The 22-year-old ace has recently emerged as one of the Reds’ major targets for the coming transfer window, as Brendan Rodgers plots to bolster his frontline – which has netted the highest number of goals in the Premier League this season.
Lacazette is believed to be seen as a wise addition, with the pacey forward having enjoyed an excellent season in Ligue 1.
The French international is currently the division’s third highest scorer with a tally of 13, and only trails mega-money forwards Zalatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani at PSG.
While the Lyon man refused to suggest that a transfer is a foregone conclusion, he did say that he could move on at the end of the campaign if he feels that he can no longer achieve his ambitions at the Stade Gerland:
“If there really is a club that is interested in me and I cannot advance with Lyon, it will be discussed.” He is quoted by The Express.
“The matter will be talked about between men and discussed intelligently.”
Liverpool are one of a few clubs said to be interested in Lacazette – who is said to be considering his options as Lyon struggle on the field.
