Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina looks set to secure a second successive loan spell with Napoli, according to talkSPORT.
The Spaniard spent last season on loan at the Serie A side following the arrival of Simon Mignolet before the beginning of last season.
And with his Anfield career considered over by boss Brendan Rodgers, the 31-year-old is preparing for another year in Italy with compatriot Rafa Benitez.
Benitez did have the option to exercise Reina’s £4.2m release fee but decided against it, leaving the goalkeeper to return to Liverpool this summer with two years remaining on his contract.
But it is now believed Napoli could reignite their interest in bringing Reina back to the Stadio Sao Paolo this summer, but it’s still unclear whether they will be prepared to entertain a permanent deal.
Liverpool, though, could demand the Italian club pays more than half of his wages if they are to sanction another loan deal, despite the two clubs equally splitting his wages last term.
