Liverpool are expected to complete the signing of Southampton’s Adam Lallana in the next few days, according to talkSPORT.
The Saints winger has been the subject of increased transfer speculation this summer, with moves to Man United, Liverpool and Tottenham all being suggested since May.
And it was widely expected he would follow former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino to Tottenham upon his return from the World Cup, where he has been playing for England.
But Liverpool’s involvement in next season’s Champions League looks to have swung the move in their favour, and the 26-year-old is set to have a medical this afternoon after a £28million fee had been agreed between the two clubs.
This news comes just hours after it was revealed Southampton’s Luke Shaw had completed a £34m move to Manchester United.
