Real Madrid are ready to make a formal bid for Liverpool forward Luis Suarez, reports the Daily Star.

And Los Blancos are ready to bring fellow Premier League star Ramires to the Bernabeu with the Uruguayan. Ancelotti signed Ramires when he was manager at Chelsea, and remains a big fan of the Brazilian.

Jose Mourinho is unlikely to be interested in Ancelotti’s interest in Ramires, after already losing Frank Lampard and David Luiz this summer. The Brazilian defender-come-midfielder joined PSG for £50million, whilst Lampard will leave the club on a free transfer. But Chelsea could lose a fellow midfielder ahead of the new season, should Madrid find a offer to tempting to resist.

Suarez has been linked with Real Madrid for the last two seasons, with Liverpool continually stating that the striker is not for sale. But MARCA are reporting that Madrid are ready to formally test the Reds’ grip of Suarez with a £73million bid. Reports suggest that the Champions League holders are ready to improve their offer if need be.

Brendan Rodgers will be desperate to keep Suarez at Anfield, as he prepares his Liverpool squad for Champions League football next season, where they could potentially face Real Madrid at some stage in the season.
