Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will personally appeal to Luis Suarez to resist interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid to stay at Anfield, according to reports from The Mirror.

The Uruguayan international was voted the Premier League’s star performer last term and has once again starred at the World Cup for his country, which has alerted the Spanish duo.

Real openly chased Suarez last year and have been joined by bitter rivals Barca this time around, with the two La Liga sides widely seen as the only two teams on the planet that are genuine options for the forward.
