The Halmstads striker has been earning rave reviews for his performances for both club and country, which has seen him dubbed the ‘new Zlatan Ibrahimovic’
Berisha starred at this year’s U-17 World Cup, where he finished the tournament as the top goalscorer, alerting top sides from across Europe.
The 17-year-old has already turned down trials with Arsenal and Manchester United, but Brendan Rodgers is ready to launch an official move for his signature and offer him a chance of progression to the first-team.
Real Madrid have also made approaches, but a minimal chance of making a serious impact has deterred Berisha from chasing a move.
“The most important is the football education, I believe England would be the best option,” the young forward said.
“I have rejected clubs like Arsenal and Manchester United, who have invited me for trials.
“There is Real Madrid now, the club of my dreams – I am keen to go there, but I think I will turn it down, unfortunately.”
Rodgers is thought to be desperate to snap up a new forward in January, with Iago Aspas not currently thought of as good enough to support Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.
