Brendan Rodgers admits he doesn't expect to add to his Liverpool squad before the transfer deadline passes, the Metro understand

The Reds boss completed the signing of Inter Milan midfielder Philippe Coutinho just before the 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Tuesday, adding to the £12 million capture of Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea earlier in January.

There was talk of Rodgers pressing forward with a late approach for Blackpool's in-demand winger Tom Ince with his admiration for the 20-year-old well documented during the transfer window.

Ince, who has notched 15 goals this season, actually left Merseyside to join the Championship club 18-months ago and rumours of a return have been rife with the North Irishman making no secret of his desire to bring him back.

However, the 40-year-old concedes that no more players would be following Sturridge and Coutinho to Anfield this month with Liverpool now closed for business until the summer when the window reopens.

"I can’t see any more coming in," he said. "We got Sturridge in early on and obviously young Coutinho will be a terrific signing for us.

"He’ll add that excitement and offensive threat at the top end of the field. But it’s unlikely we’ll get any more."
