The United States’ performances at this summer’s World Cup impressed almost every football fan across the globe.
And amongst the expected performers for Jurgen Klinsmann’s team, there was unexpected player who went on to take all the plaudits.
Seattle Sounders youngster DeAnder Yedlin put himself on the world stage when he was called upon to cover Fabian Johnson at right back.
Since then, Yedlin has been linked with a move to Europe and, most notably, Liverpool.
And an American Liverpool fan managed to bump in to the star whilst doing the groceries the other day and, would you believe, suggest he hinted at a move to Anfield.
Make of this what you will…
Y’all, I met DeAndre Yedlin at the grocery store today. A guy with him said “he might be playing for Liverpool soon” pic.twitter.com/mMoO3G0HJc
