Liverpool could see two of their best attackers leave Anfield this summer, as Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti eyes a sensational double swoop for Raheem Sterling and Luis Suarez, according to Daily Express.
Ancelotti believes Sterling would be an ideal replacement for Argentinian midfielder Angel Di Maria, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer.
The 19-year-old is considered one of the top young players in the world after being shortlisted fore PFA Young Player of the Year awards in April, which came off the back of 10 goals in 34 top-flight outings last term.
Suarez, who was the Premier League’s top scorer with 31 last term, is also reportedly being tracked by Barcelona but it said to be Ancelotti’s first choice between he and Sterling.
It has been reported recently that Barcelona are prepared to stump up around £100m for Luis Suarez, and the Uruguayan hit man is rumoured to be pushing for a move away from Anfield.
A £100m transfer for Suarez would be the largest ever, surpassing last summer’s move by Gareth Bale to Real Madrid last summer, although it’s still unclear whether Liverpool are prepared to let either of their star performers go.
