Liverpool striker Luis Suarez insists he wants to return to former club Ajax before he retires.
The Uruguayan has been instrumental in Liverpool’s bid for Premier League glory this season, netting 31 times in 30 outings, and has recently expressed his desire to remain at Anfield for the foreseeable future.
But he is adamant that he will return to Holland before he hangs up his boots and insists there is nothing that will stop him from doing so.
He is quoted in the Metro as saying: “I would definitely go back to Ajax.
“Even if the coach there doesn’t want me, I’m going. Definitely. Ajax is very important for me.
“[It is] an ideal club, taught me a lot, using both feet, playing with the ball and being a team player.”
Suarez joined Liverpool from Ajax in January 2011 for £22.8million, after scoring 111 goals in 159 appearances in all competitions for the Eredivisie outfit.
