It didn’t come as much of a surprise to learn that Luis Suarez had been voted the PFA Player of the Year after such an amazing season for Liverpool.

The striker has scored 30 goals in 31 league games this season and has gone a long way in giving Liverpool a real chance of lifting their first ever Premier League title.

And after he was handed the trophy at the awards last night, he uploaded a YouTube video thanking his family, friends, teammates and fans for supporting him this season.

Trouble is, he recorded the message in Spanish, so we couldn’t understand a word he was saying. Luckily, the lads over a 101 Great Goals had it translated…

“Hi all, just arrived from the awards for best player of the year, I am very happy for this award, thanks to all the players who voted for me, kudos to my colleagues, if it were not for them you would not have received this award.

Thanks to my my wife and my two babies. I dedicate it to my children and all the fans who support me.”
