Progress may have been slow and steady at Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers but there are real signs that the Reds are finally starting to find some form. They're unbeaten in the Premier League since the end of September, a run of seven games, and have only lost twice in their last 12 in all competitions. Rodgers owes much of his sides improvement to the form of Luis Suarez, with the Uruguayan scoring six goals in as many matches and generally being the clubs shining light on the field over the past few months. But whether they can maintain that form heading into a brutal winter period will be a huge test of Rodgers' managerial mettle with half a dozen potential banana skins on the horizon in December. Come through unscathed and the Reds can then start to think of making a real charge for a top-six spot.

Quote of the Week

"As a manager, in order to fulfil what you want to over the longer term you have to take care of the short term - that was something I learned in my job at Reading. I was given a three-year contract and took the job in the great belief I was brought in to change the philosophy and ideas of the club and 20 games later I was out of a job. That was the harsh reality of managing a football club and from that I learned a lesson. I have been grateful to the board here because in order for me to come here that (support) was something which was going to be important because if we were going to keep the club moving in the right direction it was going to need some stability." Brendan Rodgers admits he appreciates the stable support offered by Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group
