Liverpool star Suso says that he is eager to return to Anfield once his season-long loan spell with Almeria ends.
The Spanish starlet joined the La Liga strugglers last summer in a bid to gain experience with first team action likely to have been limited on Merseyside with no European action for the Reds.
Since moving back to his homeland, Suso has been impressive, managing 25 league outings and registering a respectable haul of seven assists in a team fighting at the lower end of the table.
But with Liverpool performing well in attacking areas and looking to strengthen in the off-season, the 20-year-old has been linked with a permanent move away – with Sevilla interested.
However, the talented youngster says that he is keen to return to his parent club and that this season was planned between him and manager Brendan Rodgers:
“I wanted to play every game this year and get a lot of minutes. Playing in the First Division in Spain is a good experience for me. Next season I’ll be a new player.” He is quoted by Sky Sports.
“At the beginning of the season, before pre-season, I was talking with Brendan and we were thinking that the best option for me was to go to a team on loan for a year, improve and learn from other players.
“I didn’t want to stay at Liverpool and be on the bench – I wanted to play every game.
“It’s a dream to play at Anfield every weekend and in the Champions League, it’s the best option that can happen.
“I would like to sign a new contract with Liverpool and stay there for many years.”
