Liverpool’s summer signing Iago Aspas has admitted that he is struggling to adapt to life on Merseyside, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The Spaniard moved to Anfield for £7.5million in the summer from Celta Vigo but has featured just six times so far for the Reds, failing to find the net in any of those games.

The return of Luis Suarez has not helped the 26 year old’s cause either as the Uruguyan has formed a deadly partnership with England man Daniel Sturridge since his return from suspension.

Aspas is used to being the main man in a side such as Celta Vigo’s, so now becoming third or fourth choice striker is a complete culture shock for the powerful forward.

‘I’m finding it hard to be a sub at Liverpool having started games in the past few years,’ Aspas said.

‘When I left Celta Vigo I was aware that to start for Liverpool wasn’t going to be easy.

‘And now the team is winning and we are among the leaders in the Premier League, it’s much hard to get a game.’
