Paris Saint-Germain defender Lucas Digne will not be making a January move away from the French capital, according to his agent.

The French full-back was strongly linked with Liverpool over the summer, but eventually completed a move to the Parc des Princes.

However, since his arrival the 20-year-old has made just two appearances for the Ligue 1 champions, prompting speculation that he could pursue a swift exit in a bid to secure regular first-team action ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

The Reds – as well as Italian giants Roma, who are managed by the player’s former coach Rudi Garcia – are believed to be keen to offer him an escape route, but Digne’s representative, Mikkel Beck, says that his client is not thinking about leaving PSG:

“This is not the right time to talk about market rumours. Lucas has just started a new adventure with a prestigious team like PSG and is very happy with how things are going.” He is quoted by talkSPORT.

“Rudi Garcia obviously knows him well, but at the moment we are absolutely not thinking of a move away from PSG in the future.”

Digne completed a £13m move from Lille to PSG over the summer and is widely though of as one of Europe’s top emerging left-backs.
