Liverpool’s hopes of a top four finish took a dent this afternoon as they came a cropper against their great North West rivals. The Reds were never really at the races and were completely undone in the first 5mins of the second half. Defeat brought an end to what has been an excellent run of form that has seen the Merseyside club reach the 5^th Rd of the FA Cup as well as book a date at the Carling Cup final at the end of the month.
