The transfer saga, which was meant to be completed before the World Cup, still continues as Liverpool attempt to bring Southampton star Adam Lallana to Anfield. They’ve hit a stumbling block with the Saints’ £30million valuation for the player, but Liverpool must do all they can to sign the attacking midfielder.
Lallana is England’s answer to David Silva: great technical ability, quick feet, and an eye for a key pass. He also contributes defensively, making him a great asset both in attack and defence.
The Saints star had a sensational campaign last year, finishing the season with 10 goals and eight assists, also earning him a place in the Premier League team of the year. If he performs anywhere close for England to what he did the past season, his price is only bound to rise.
