Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri has confessed that he is flattered by interest in his signature from Liverpool.
The Reds are believed to have been tracking the Swiss international for some time, and were linked with a loan move for his services in January.
The 22-year-old has featured infrequently at club level this term, with Bayern manager Pep Guardiola possessing a talented squad.
Shaqiri is in direct competition with the likes of Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, Mario Gotze and Thomas Muller for playing time – a battle he has often lost.
Despite having only joined the German champions in 2012, a summer move is looking the most likely option for the youngster, with interest high.
Liverpool have been linked heavily with him, and Shaqiri says that it is flattering to be alligned with teams of such calibre:
“When you hear these names, of course you have to listen to the offer, but there is nothing concrete.” he told Goal.
“I cannot say anything to this. I am feeling good in Munich but as a player you have to listen, if one of these top clubs is interested.”
Shaqiri went on to state his admiration for the Premier League:
“Bundesliga is the best league for me, but I also like the Premier League and Serie A. In Serie A many teams have developed well with nice players.”
