The 26-year-old’s future has been the subject of constant speculation since the end of the season, with the most recent twist coming at the weekend when Premier League rivals Arsenal, had a £30million bid for the striker rejected.
Suarez is due to return to Anfield for pre-season training on July 21st, but is still confident a move will materialise.
“This is in the future. You never know what’s going to happen. A phone call could change my plans,” Suarez told a radio station in his native Uruguay.
“I am talking with my agent and I always have my phone with me in case anything develops.”
Suarez also revealed he was flattered with the interest in him shown by Arsenal. Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea have also since been linked with a move for the controversial forward.
“It’s good to know that after everything that’s happened, teams in England still value me as a footballer,” he added.
“There are several options. There are two or three interested clubs and Liverpool know about this.”
Suarez’s agent Pere Guardiola travelled to Liverpool on Monday to hold talks with manager Brendan Rodgers and managing director Ian Ayre over the player’s future.
Liverpool have not changed their stance on the situation and are desperate to keep hold of the player, who is yet to submit an official transfer request.
