This weekend's installment of Super Sunday was always up against it after some rather incredible, dramatic and frankly ridiculous scenes during Saturday's Premier League fixtures.

But the snoozier, laid-back sister to Saturday's action, this week featuring Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace, Southampton vs Manchester United and Liverpool vs Norwich City, certainly had it's moments - moments which inevitably sent social media into a habitual football frenzy.

Indeed, whether they were following Spurs' 1-0 win over the Eagles, courtesy of an inaugural goal from Heung Min Son, watching Louis van Gaal outwit his his old nemesis Ronald Koeman via an Anthony Martial brace or witnessing Liverpool put in another underwhelming performance against rank and file opposition, there was plenty of material for avid Twitterites to turn into memes, vines and general bantz.
