Manchester City have stolen the headlines on Deadline Day by confirming the capture Pep Guardiola, who will take over from Manuel Pellegrini in the summer.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss has won 19 trophies in just 384 games as a manager, which translates in to a trophy every 20 matches - making him the most decorated manager in the game right now.

Although speculation over the last couple of years have been rife, City's announcement has somewhat caught everyone off guard on what was quickly becoming a pretty uneventful final day of the transfer window.

But while Man City fans celebrate getting the best manager in world football, Man United fans are understandably gutted it's not them. It's well known how much the red side of Manchester wants Louis van Gaal out of Old Trafford, and there were some hopes of them beating their arch rivals City to Pep's signature in the summer.

But it's the Etihad club who have come up trumps in this saga, and will undoubtedly become something of a unstoppable force in world football under Pep's tutelage.

And everyone's laughing at Man United on Twitter...
