Manchester City‘s recent elimination from both the FA Cup and Champions League has affected their chances of quickly catching rivals Manchester United‘s trophy haul.

With two out of four of City’s trophy targets crushed, based on the stats shown, they still have a lot catching up to do if they can really start claiming the Manchester is now ‘Blue.’

Currently Manchester United tops the chart with 62 trophies, while City who sit in eighth place with just 15 trophies. All of the current top four teams have almost double the amount of The Citizens, so maybe they can still be seen as United’s noisy neighbours.

The season is nearing it’s end and with United out of the picture for any trophies this season, it looks like this is the time for Manuel Pellegrini’s side to bridge the huge 47 trophy gap…
