Paris Saint-German president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has rubbished rumours that Edinson Cavani could join either Manchester United or Chelsea this summer.

The Uruguayan ace has been strongly linked with both clubs of late, amid rumours that he’s grown frustrated with life at the Parc des Princes.

Cavani only signed for PSG in a deal worth around £50m last year, yet he is said to be annoyed at being shifted into a wide forward position as Laurent Blanc has tailored his side to get the best out of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

This has alerted Chelsea and United, with both clubs understood to be looking for a big name attacking addition ahead of the coming transfer window.

However Al-Khelaifa – who fronts PSG’s Qatari owners – has moved to rubbish claims that the striker will be moving on:

“Cavani? He will stay here – he has a contract with us,” He is quoted by The Metro.

Some reports have suggested that Cavani himself is keen on a move to United, while other rumours indicate that Jose Mourinho could look to solve his desire to land a “killer” striker with a move for the 27-year-old.
