Liverpool and Manchester United have been told by Juventus to move for Arturo Vidal by next Saturday or forget about a deal, according to reports from The Metro.

The Premier League giants have both been heavily linked with the 27-year-old in recent weeks, following various rumours that the Old Lady are considering letting him leave Turin.

United have been tracking Vidal for some time, while Liverpool are fairly new on the scene with Brendan Rodgers considering a marquee purchase after selling Luis Suarez.

Although Juve are thought to be ready to cut him loose for around £40m, they want a deal tied up before they kick their pre-season tour of Asia.

Vidal himself has suggested that he could be on his way, yet he has stopped short of suggesting that he will be heading away from Italy on the back of a terrific World Cup with Chile.

The former Bayer Leverkusen star has been at Juve since 2011, where he has developed a reputation as one of the world’s very best box-to-box midfielders.
