Manchester United and Tottenham have made landing Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana this summer a top priority, according to reports from the Sunday People.

The silky playmaker looks set for a big few months in his career, with a spot in England’s World Cup squad beckoning on the back of a fine season.

As well as this, he may have to make a big decision regarding his future, with a number of sides keen to lure him away from his boyhood club.

The 25-year-old Saints skipper is wanted by a host of the Premier League’s big boys, with Spurs and United at the front of the queue.

Tottenham are rumoured to be particularly interested, with Daniel Levy said to have already made Lallana one of his key potential additions heading into the off-season.

Current manager Tim Sherwood recommended the versatile midfielder to his chairman, and it is understood that even if he loses his a job a swoop is on the cards.

United are also in the hunt, as David Moyes plots to overhaul his squad.

The Scot is likely to be backed significantly in the transfer window, and has set his sights on a creative attacking force.

Southampton are desperate to keep their man, but bids of around £20m may be entertained.
