Manchester City are preparing a shock raid for Juventus wonderkid Paul Pogba, Express reports.

The Citizens are readying a £32m plus either Aleksandar Kolarov or Edin Dzeko in order to land the former Manchester United midfielder.

It is speculated that Pogba’s ‘superagent’ Mino Raiola – whose client list includes Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mario Balotelli – is currently negotiating the Frenchman’s contract with Juventus.

However Pogba is demanding more than double his salary, which has alerted City and their wealth if negotiations with the Italian side deteriorate.

The Sky Blues reportedly see Pogba as the perfect long term replacement to Yaya Toure, and the club hierarchy would like to see him join as soon as possible.

They are seemingly willing to match his £3.6m salary demands and offer additional incentives to lure the 21-year-old to the Etihad.

However Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are also in the race for his signature, which has French legend Jean-Pierre Papin advising the Old Lady to hold onto their star man.

“I think Juventus is one of the biggest clubs in the world.

“If they don’t keep Pogba, I really don’t understand anything anymore.

“If you want to play in the big leagues you have to keep that kind of player.

“Where will you find another player like him? They must clearly do anything to keep him unless they receive an indecent offer.”

This is clearly nonsense. City won’t be buying anyone of that calibre for a while. They’ll probably have to sell players and lower wages this summer to meet FFP demands or they’ll get thrown out of UEFA competitions.

they already have signed Porto pair Mangala & Fernando for £40 million reportedly. Another £60 million is on the budget as total budget is £100 million for this summer.
