Pep is on his way and when he does take to the Etihad hotseat, he will no-doubt be thinking about how and where he can strengthen his squad.

And with the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager hailing from Spain, there is little doubt he may be looking to bring one of his fellow countrymen to England with him.

Spain are currently competing in France at the Euros and we've seen plenty of evidence to suggest they could go on to latter stages of the competition- with some names standing out in particular.

But there is plenty of talent across the whole of Spain in both the Euro 2016 squad and with those players who didn't quite make the cut.

So with that in mind, here are FIVE Spanish stars that could suit Pep and Manchester City next season...

Nolito

A definite late bloomer, Nolito has gone on to become a household name in Spain after a hugely impressive season with Celta Vigo last season, where he scored 12 goals from the wing.

He's been playing well for Del Bosque's side in France and he is definitely a man that could strengthen Pep's side at Manchester City.

Nolito has a £13million release clause in his contract and he's expected to sign for a top side this summer, with former club Barcelona also interested in a move.

Koke

Chelsea v Atletico Madrid - UEFA Champions League Semi Final Second Leg

Another man who is currently out in France, Koke led Atletico Madrid to the Champions League final where they were narrowly pipped by neighbours Real.

Koke is a dynamic central-midfielder capable of getting up-and-down the pitch and who has a serious eye for goal.

With Yaya Toure perhaps coming to the end of his City career, Pep will need reinforcements in the middle of the park and Koke could be the man they need.

Paco Alcacer

Sevilla v Valencia - UEFA Europa League Semi Final First Leg

Alcacer didn't quite make the Spain squad this time round, but at 22-years-old, there's plenty of time for this Valencia frontman to break into the Spain set-up in the very near future.

Despite a season full of managerial turmoil, Alcacer's form hasn't slowed up and he managed to score 15 goals for Los Che during the 2015/2016 season and he's one to keep an eye on in the future.

Alvaro Morata

Alvaro Morata did make the Spain squad and has managed to bag two goals for the national team already at this year's Euros.

He's another youngster but Morata is definitely seen as one of Spain's brightest striking sparks since Fernando Torres first burst onto the scene.

He's a well-rounded striker who is known for his clinical finishing ability and good movement and at Juventus this season he managed to score several crucial goals.

Mario Gaspar

Perhaps one of the lesser known names in this list, Mario Gaspar plays as a right-back for Spanish side Villarreal.

He's best known for THAT wonder-goal against England last year, where he scored an outrageous overhead kick to give his side the lead in an eventual 2-0 victory.

He's been at VCF his whole career and is an attacking full-back who is also renowned for his strong defensive ability too. With Pablo Zabaleta coming to the end of his City career, this could be an ideal move for both parties.
