Manchester City are ready to tie Joe Hart and Edin Dzeko down to new long-term contracts, according to reports from Goal.

The Sky Blues have been actively prolonging the stays of star names over the course of the past few weeks, with Sergio Aguero, David Silva and captain Vincent Kompany having all put pen to paper.

And now Hart and Dzeko are next on the list.

Manuel Pellegini however will not be rewarded with a fresh contract just yet, despite guiding the club to the Premier League title last term.

Hart’s place in the starting XI is currently the subject of some doubt with Willy Caballero having been signed, but it’s believed that City are desperate to ensure that he agrees a new deal to stay put for the long-term.

Dzeko is another player to have seen his future populate gossip columns, with the Bosnian having struggled to hold down a starting berth ever since his 2011 arrival.

But City are, again, keen to tie him down after he scored some vital goals at the back end of 2013/14.
