Manchester City look set for a battle to keep Edin Dzeko at the club when the transfer window re-opens, with reports from talkSPORT suggesting that Juventus will reignite their pursuit of the forward.

The Italian champions chased the Bosnian striker on deadline day, but their efforts ended in disappointment as Alvaro Negredo’s move to Valencia saw the Sky Blues elect to keep their remaining hit-men after missing out on Radamel Falcao.

However, Juve have not been completely deterred, and are already pondering a fresh offer for this winter.

The Turin giants see Dzeko as the ideal man to lead the line for them, and are convinced that City will sell if they can get in the big name striker they have been linked with in recent windows to partner Sergio Aguero.

The Eastern European ace only signed a new contract over the summer and is known to be a favourite of Manuel Pellegrini, but rumours suggest that he has been unsettled at the club in the past.

Man City must keep Dzeko

Pathetic nonsense. The Italian “giants” cant afford Guidetti let alone Dzeko.
