Manchester City have been confirmed as participants in this summer’s Guinness International Champions Cup, which takes place in the United States.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side will join AC Milan, Inter Milan, Olympiacos, AS Roma, Real Madrid, Liverpool and arch enemies Manchester United in the tournament, set to take place across 13 U.S cities.

Teams are divided in to two groups for round robin play, with each side playing at least three games, before the winner of both groups meet in a final in Miami on August 4.

The tournament, which starts on July 26, was won by Real Madrid last years as they beat Chelsea 3-1 in the final at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami.

The draw will be made on 20 February, while all the games be broadcast all around the world, including the UK and Ireland on Sky Sports.

The eight clubs set to compete in this year’s tournament have a combined 150 domestic league titles, 88 domestic cups and 27 UEFA Champions League titles.
