The controversial Mario Balotelli has announced that he in-fact loves his manager Roberto Mancini despite the many disagreements between the two in the past.

Balotelli is well known for his tantrums and in the Premier League against Arsenal in September, the Manchester City manager was seen pushing his striker down the tunnel after an exchange of words between the two at full time.

In the same fixture last season, Balotelli’s reckless tackling led Mancini to suggest the player would not play for Man City again. Earlier in the campaign, the Italian forward reportedly had a bust-up with team mate Yaya Toure and an on-pitch spat with Aleksander Kolorov. His boss responded by telling Balotelli: “if you played with me 10 years ago, I give to you every day maybe one punch in your head! But no I understand this, his team-mates’ [frustrations]”

Suprisingly however, the 22 year old told Italian TV channel Rai Sports “With Mancini all goes well, we have a good relationship even though someone always tries to put discord among us. We love each other.

“I'm fine at Manchester City even though there are people who like to talk in the newspapers, instead of saying certain things to my face. I don't give a damn" added Balotelli, who is hitting back at comments made by Citizens sporting director Brian Marwood about the Italian being a bad role model.

Last weekend, the City offical told the Sunday Mirror “I think – and we all know who we are talking about – that you will get people within the system who do not show the right values and the right behaviour.

“I think we have a lot of players who can behave in the right way. You just have to make sure that THEY are the role models” added Marwood.

Last night, Balotelli was in action for Italy, scoring once and providing an assist for Ricardo Montolivo against Denmark at his old stomping ground, the San Siro.
