Atletico Madrid are keeping tabs on Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo, as reported by MailOnline.
The Spanish striker is reportedly finding it hard to settle in Manchester, despite netting 23 goals in his debut Premier League season following a £20m switch from Sevilla last summer.
And the La Liga champions are monitoring his situation at the Etihad as they seek an adequate replacement for Chelsea-bound Diego Costa.
The 28-year-old is a proven goalscorer in Spain, netting 102 La Liga goals in 209 appearances combined for Almeria and Sevilla.
And Atletico boss Diego Simeone believes Negredo could be just the man to fill the void left by Costa and is willing to throw money at a deal in order to get his man.
Man City are expected to accept nothing less than what they paid for the Spaniard last summer, but that isn’t seen as problem given the fact Atletico have received a fee believed to be in the region of £30m for Costa.
