In an embarrassing recent development, Manchester City powerhouse Yaya Toure is believed to be considering a move in the summer – because they forgot to wish him a “Happy Birthday”. The midfielder turned thirty one on May 13th and in comments made to The Sun, his agent Dimitry Seluk states that the club disrespected the man who netted twenty four times in all competitions.
“Forgot? About Yaya? The player who helped you to be two-times Premier League champions? The guy who helped you win the FA Cup and the League Cup?”
It turns out that even a half-man, half-tank has feelings too.
Inevitably following these revelations, football fans on Twitter have decided to have a little fun. The trend “#ReasonsYayaWantsToLeaveCity” has received a multitude of creative and colourful responses.
