With just one point separating the two sides at the top of the English Premier League, table-topping Chelsea's visit to Manchester City on Saturday is a mouth-watering prospect.

The teams have traded big blows over the last two games between the sides with City defeating Chelsea handily 3-0 at Stamford Bridge in the last meeting and the Blues thrashing the Manchester club 5-1 in an FA Cup clash before that.

In the last meeting at the Etihad, City picked up a 3-0 league win. The London side have been a different side since then though and arrive in Manchester on a seven-game Premier League winning streak.

The match has the potential to be the game of the weekend, it's certainly the biggest of this round of fixtures and it's sure to capture the attention of neutrals.

Here is our Man City XI that we think could pick up massive win and go to the top of the Premier League...

GK: Claudio Bravo

Claudio Bravo

Claudio Bravo has made himself first choice at Man City since joining from Barcelona in the summer. He's trusted by Guardiola to do the business and, for the most part, has so far.

His shot-stopping is exceptional, which is key against a free-scoring Chelsea who are tearing through teams with some breathtaking attacking performances.

City will likely need him to make one or two key saves over the course of the 90 minutes.

RB: Pablo Zabaleta

After missing last weekend's action with a foot injury, Guardiola will be hoping he can call on the experience of Pablo Zabaleta once again this Saturday.

With 13 appearances this season, he has been the first choice right-back and Guardiola has been relying on his excellent tackling and ability to move forward with his accurate passing.

If Manchester City are to get anything from the game, they'll need the Argentine on top form to counter the threat from the likes of Eden Hazard.

CB: Nicolas Otamendi

Nicolas Otamendi has been an integral part of Guardiola's defence this season and his form appears to be getting better.

A Man of the Match performance last time out vs. Burnley was a huge part of the vital away win, and is something that will give him confidence going into the massive lunch-time encounter.

City have only lost two games with him in the side this season.

CB: John Stones

John Stones and Pep Guardiola

John Stones is still learning to adjust to life at Manchester City after arriving in the summer and under Guardiola is getting the best education football can offer.

With 18 appearances already this season, he has firmly established himself in the side and should return for the Chelsea match.

His ability is undeniable, and he always looks strong and physically imposing but also able to play out from the back.

The Chelsea game will be another massive part of his development and City fans will be hoping he can show glimpses of the potential that saw him move for so much money.

LB: Aleksandar Kolarov

Not only is Kolarov an asset to any defence, his ability to support counter-attacks and bomb down the left wing gives Man City an edge that most teams don't have.

What's more, his crossing ability is amongst the best in the division in his position.

He's been almost ever-present in this side this season and there's no reason why that should change ahead of the Chelsea clash.

DM: Fernandinho

Fernandinho's role in the Man City set-up may fly under the radar, but he's a vital component to Guardiola's team.

His defensive awareness allows his more creative team-mates to unleash their skills on the opposition, and he's a steady hand in a team that plays with pace and fluidity.

His ability to win the ball back from his opponents and move it on will be key on Saturday against what is a top class midfield in N'Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic.

After a blistering start to the season, Raheem Sterling's form has fallen off a little but he's still the right-sided attacker that can cause Chelsea the most problems on Saturday.

He scored five and made five in his first nine appearances of the season and looked unstoppable during a winning run that ended when Guardiola's side drew at Celtic Park.

Since then he's been less influential but did assist a goal during Man City's impressive win over Barcelona.

He'll be required to put in a disciplined and mature performance against what is a very organised Chelsea side. If City can free up space for him to run into, there's no doubting he can reach the highs of earlier in the season once again.

CM: Ilkay Gundogan

Ilkay Gundogan

Two incredible performances back-to-back against West Brom and Barcelona gave Man City fans hope that Gundogan was finally finding his feet in Manchester but the creative midfielder's form has dipped since.

Still, in a midfield protected by Fernandinho, Gundogan could shine against Chelsea. Having not played a Premier League game since the start of November, the former Dortmund ace's inclusion would perhaps be a surprise to most.

We reckon he has the ability to hurt Chelsea though and in a battle that is likely to be a toe-to-toe slobber-knocker, City will need all the firepower they can muster.

CM: David Silva

Little has been left unsaid about David Silva, who is a supremely creative midfielder that, in part, sparked the rise of Manchester City to become one of Europe's elite clubs.

Edging towards 300 appearances for the Citizens, Silva is fast approaching veteran status with the club.

He continues to be an effective creative outlet for Guardiola, recently scoring in a Champions League match vs. Borussia Monchengladbach. As with our Gundogan pick, we reckon Guardiola should be looking to put as much danger in the Chelsea third as possibly and there's no doubting the little Spaniard has what it takes to be a match-winner on Saturday.

LM: Kevin De Bruyne

There's little doubt for us that Kevin De Bruyne has been one of Manchester City's most effective players to date this season.

Creating an incredible nine assists already and with three goals pitched in on top of that, De Bruyne's ability to find his team-mates in key positions has been the motor in City's best performances of the season.

Now he has the chance to punish his former club and see his current team leapfrog them in the Premier League. Motivation indeed.

ST: Sergio Aguero

There's a good chance Sergio Aguero is the best player in the Premier League and he's been proving that again this season after an incredible few years with City.

With 16 goals in 17 appearances in all competitions, Aguero is the talisman City need at the tip of their attack.

Coming into Saturday's game in peak confidence after his double delivered three points last Saturday, Aguero will be City's key man in their efforts to pick up the win against Chelsea.
