He may have scored 13 goals in 18 appearances for Manchester City this season but Sergio Aguero will have to spend today's match against Burnley on the bench after Pep Guardiola made a massive call with his team selection.

The Spaniard has brought in Kelechi Iheanacho to replace the striker for this afternoon's game against Burnley.

Aguero returned to the City side against Liverpool after suspension for a horror tackle on David Luiz and failed to impact the game whatsoever as City fell to a 1-0 defeat.

In fact, the striker failed to touch the ball inside the box once, the Liverpool defence swamping the Argentinian across the 90 minutes.

Given he spent the four games prior to Anfield suspended, it's unlikely he's being rested today, so being named on the bench seems like a tactical decision from Guardiola.

It's a decision that is obviously provoking a reaction with Manchester City fans. Some understand it, some can't believe it.

The strength of feeling is understandable, their club badly need a victory to keep pace with the rest of the sides in the top four. Dropped points today would be a massive blow with Spurs and Manchester United in excellent form around them.

Supporters took to Twitter to let their feelings known about Guardiola's call...
