Shinji Kagawa’s agent revealed that the Manchester United star will not be making a move away from Old Trafford in the upcoming transfer window despite interest from various clubs, Express reports.
The former Borussia Dortmund play-maker has failed to earn a first team berth under previous manager David Moyes, but is beginning to get back to his best after being granted more playing time under current interim boss Ryan Giggs.
It was believed that Kagawa was unhappy with the club, after picking up only 13 Premier League starts this campaign despite having very high expectations since his move from the Bundesliga.
Current Napoli boss Rafael Benitez looks keen to bring the midfield man to Italy and battle for the Serie A title next season, but any hopes of acquiring the services of Kagawa was halted after his agent Thomas Kroth ended speculation on the issue.
“Has Benitez made contact with Kagawa? These are just rumours,” Kroth said.
“He is not unhappy at Manchester United, so there’s no reason to talk about him departing to another club.”
