Bayern targeting United starlet

Bayern Munich want to bring Manchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj to the Allianz Arena this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Bundesliga champions are eyeing up the United winger, who is currently in his first season of Premier League football at Old Trafford. The 18-year-old moved to the club in 2011, and made his first appearance in United’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in September.

The winger has impressed pundits and fans during his performances for David Moyes this summer, with some suggesting the youngster should be given an England cap in the future. Januzaj was born in Belgium, has Albanian parents, and could qualify to play for England ahead of the 2018 World Cup finals, should he decide to ignore offers from Belgium and Albania.

Bayern are looking for future replacements for both Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery, who have both turned 30. And the Champions League holders are eyeing up Januzaj to be their next star.

United rejected an offer from PSG earlier in the season, and are expected to reject any approach from Bayern this summer. Rumours have linked United with Bayern midfielder Toni Kroos, and it will be interesting to see if the German club decide to use Kroos as bait for Januzaj.

The two clubs meet each other twice this month in the Champions League quarter-finals.
