Arturo Vidal will seriously consider joining Manchester United if the Premier League giants can agree a fee with Juventus, according to reports from The Mirror.

The midfield general was one of the stars of Chile’s impressive World Cup campaign, but his bombarding displays were not quite enough to ease his country past hosts Brazil in their weekend last 16 clash.

Both before and during the tournament Vidal has been linked with a move away from Juve, with United rumoured to be a side particularly interested in his services.

Louis van Gaal is known to be looking to add a steely enforcer to his midfield after securing the signature of the creative Ander Herrera, with Vidal thought to be a top target.

Now it is understood that despite the Old Lady being Italy’s dominant force, the 27-year-old would consider switching to United should a deal be agreed between the clubs involved.

Juve are rumoured to be ready to do business for around £40m, but LVG values Vidal at close to £30m.

Chelsea and Arsenal have also bee linked with the fiery South American.
