A report in this morning's Daily Mirror suggests that versatile Man United defender Daley Blind is fearing for his future at the club.

What's the word?

Daley Blind has made 16 appearances for Manchester United already this season but reckons his time at the Old Trafford club is limited.

The Mirror reports that the Man United boss is planning a major defensive rebuild at the end of the season, which isn't surprising given that the club have conceded more goals than all of their rivals around them.

The paper goes on to suggest that Blind has confided to friends that he's not expecting to survive Mourinho's axe and will be sold in the summer.

We discussed yesterday that Man United are facing up to 10 bids for players this January and chatter is building around Mourinho making massive high-profile changes at the club in the near future.

We reckon Blind has been an effective and underrated player since joining from Ajax in 2014, often flying under the radar but putting in unselfish performances to the benefit of the entire team. However, it's clear Mourinho is looking to take Man United beyond the plateau they've found themselves on and wants the chance to bring his own players in to do so.

The Mirror suggest in their report today that Chris Smalling, Matteo Darmian and Luke Shaw are also on thin ice at the club with Mourinho showing a ruthless streak in his efforts to deliver success.

Will it work? Time will tell. What we're sure of is that it's sure to be a dramatic and exciting couple of transfer windows for Man United fans.
