Berbatov picked up a hamstring injury in Fulham’s 3-1 victory over West Ham in midweek and so will not be fit to torment his former employers in the late kick off.
The Bulgarian has been an inspired singing at Craven Cottage having already scored eight times as well as being involved in the majority of other Fulham goals this season.
The former Tottenham striker turned 32 this week and he has only failed to notch double figures in a season once since he arrived in England seven years ago.
Berbatov’s injury isn’t the only worry for Jol as dominant midfielder Steve Sidwell will also miss the visit of the league leaders after picking up a similar injury on Wednesday night.
Sir Alex Ferguson will be pleased that Berbatov will not be coming back to haunt them and United could go ten points clear at the top of the table with a win in West London.
