Holland midfielder Wesley Sneijder has revealed that he would consider any potential offer from Louis van Gaal to take him to Manchester United.
The Galatasaray playmaker has been linked with the Red Devils on a number of occasions in recent years, both during his time in Turkey and when at Inter Milan – arguably the finest spell of his career.
Van Gaal is set to make his move to United proper when he has finished his World Cup duties with the Oranje, where Sneijder is one of his key players, and has been for some time.
With the 30-year-old a favourite of the experienced coach, there have been mild rumours of a switch to the Theatre of Dreams, and the silky passer says that he would be unable to simply dismiss an offer:
“In the Netherlands, Van Gaal is something like the head teacher of a school,” He is quoted by The Metro.
“Not everyone is lucky enough to get into his good books.
“He trains his players very hard and always expects the highest standards.
“I am happy at Galatasaray, I have established myself at the club and have settled in.
“However, if Van Gaal were to make me an offer, I would have to at least consider it. Nobody from the Netherlands can simply reject Van Gaal.”
