Its about time but welcome back Javier Hernandez. After a truly horrible 2011/12 campaign the Mexico international has burst back on to the scene with aplomb. And not a day too soon for Sir Alex Ferguson, who must view the resurgence Chicharito as the key to wrestling the title away from City. Whilst their local foes have stuttered of late, United have picked up stride and the 24-year-old has played a major role in taking them back to the Premier League summit just in time for the festive period. Its fair to say Robin Van Persie has hogged the plaudits for his prolific start to life at Old Trafford but Hernandez has chipped in with his fair share of vital goals, none more so than a second half ‘hat trick’ at Villa Park despite coming on at the break with the Red Devils 2-0 behind. Despite the fear of a leaky defence conceding at the under Ferguson knows his side have goals in abundance with Van Persie, Hernandez and Wayne Rooney forming his attack. And goals win points which win titles didn’t you know?
This week on FFC can United actually finish on top with a brittle back four and which Colombian ace is top of Ferguson’s New Year shopping list?

Quote of the Week
“It is always good to hear the manager say things like that. But you have to take every week and month as it comes. But hearing the manager say things like that definitely puts a spring back in your step.” Rio Ferdinand insists he won’t rush into signing a new contract at Manchester United
