He's an extremely wanted man this summer and it may finally be the year that Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan gets his move to the Premier League.

And one team that have been credited with keen interest in the winger is Manchester United, with new manager Jose Mourinho thought to be incredibly keen to secure his services.

The Borussia Dortmund man has untold potential and as we've seen when he's played in both Ukraine and Germany,  he has the ability to turn any game in his sides' favour.

Here's FIVE reasons why the Armenian international would make a difference at Old Trafford...

Something Mkhitaryan has been capable of doing all his career - being able to link up with strikers.

Whilst he's often deployed as either a winger or an attacking midfielder, his ability to join the play through the middle of the park has been important at every club he's been at.

At Dortmund, he's always had top strikers to play with and we've seen him link up with Pierre-Emerick Aubamayeng to devastating effect on numerous occasions this season- and there's little doubt he could bring this to United.

Trickery and skill

As seen in the video above, the five time Armenian player of the year has some skill in his locker.

From fancy back-heels to aptly-timed nutmegs, he's thrilled Dortmund fans time-after-time with his ability to take the ball around an opponent.

Coupled with the likes of Marcus Rashford and potentially Zlatan Ibrahimovic, United really could be a sight to behold.

Blistering Pace

As we saw at both his previous club Shakthar Donetsk and at Dortmund, Mkhitaryan has absolutely blistering pace.

He's said in the Armenian press that if he wasn't a footballer he'd be a sprinter and it's easy to see why.

That ability to combine trickery and pace could earn the winger a spot as one of the brightest new players in the Premier League, if he makes the move.

He's in his prime

At 27-years-old, Mkhitaryan really is in his prime and Manchester United should expect even more in the coming seasons if he makes the transfer to England.

Whilst the United squad has some fantastic youngsters that are showing great potential for years to come, players like Mkhitaryan can really set the benchmark high in order to set the best of examples.

When in-form, Mkhitaryan would have the ability to teach and produce on the pitch.

He's box-to-box

Former Scottish footballer Pat Nevin once described Mkhitaryan as a player "with pace, skill and a rocket of a shot and the ability to arrive in the box like Frank Lampard".

That ability to get up and down the pitch would be massive for United in their attempts to better their league position under Mourinho and its certain that endeavour would go down well with the Old Trafford faithful.
