Ruud Gullit believes Manchester United's defensive frailties will give Chelsea the advantage when the two sides meet in the Premier League this weekend.

The former Chelsea player has explained his doubts over Sir Alex Ferguson's side's defensive ability and admits that Chelsea's new young, attacking players could cause them a lot of problems.

Gullit told Sky Sports: "I think that defensively Chelsea are better than Manchester United. And still with the young talent that they have, they can score us a lot of goals.

"They have a problem with Vidic and his injuries, but I still think that on the outside it looks very good. Their full-backs are playing well. I think they are still young but they have good players there."

And the Dutchman also questioned United goalkeeper David de Gea and suggested that the Spaniard's lack of control could be worrying the Old Trafford side.

"I have my doubts sometimes about their goalkeeper. You can see that, sometimes with high balls, he doesn't want to go out. And sometimes players bounce in to him because they know he is vulnerable of that," he added.

"I still think he is a good goalkeeper, but he doesn't give me the feeling that he is under control."

Chelsea host Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday and will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the Premier League campaign and possibly increase their lead at the top to seven points after just nine games.
