Jose Mourinho's first season at Manchester United has been one of near-constant experimentation.

Considering the Portuguese rarely deviated from a trusted formula during his time at Chelsea, eventually to his own peril, he's been far more open to mixing it up at Old Trafford, testing different variations of his habitual 4-3-3 formation and constantly fluctuating between personnel.

As our infographic shows, Mourinho's used a whole host of players in every department, seemingly giving everybody the chance to impress whilst he continues to assess the large squad he inherited from Louis van Gaal in the summer.

And the sheer volume of players to feature in the full-back positions this term particularly stands out. Most clubs will have three options on each defensive flank in extremis, but Mourinho has selected nine different players between the No.2 and No.3 slots already this term.

Following a strong performance from Matteo Darmian against Hull City (covered in further detail by FootballFanCast here), the situation at left-back has particularly caught our interest. In addition to the Italian, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind have all featured there this season - but who is United's best option?

We're opening the debate to the fan base, so let us know your thoughts by voting for who you think should be United's first-choice left-back in the poll below.
