Inter Milan are in ‘advanced negotiations’ to complete the signing of Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez in the summer, according to the Express.

Inter have already announced United skipper Nemanja Vidic will be making the move to the San Siro at the end of the season, and now it appears they are close to announcing another major signing from the reigning Premier League champions.

Hernandez has struggled for regular first team football under David Moyes this season, and had previously hinted he may seek a move in the summer.

The Mexican forward has managed just two goals in 16 appearances at Old Trafford this season, although the vast majority have been from the substitutes bench.

Inter seem happy to offer the 25-year-old the opportunity he is looking for, with Diego Milito set to leave the Italian giants at the end of the season when his contract expires.

Reports in Italy suggest negotiations are now at an advanced stage, despite Hernandez’s agent earlier denying there had been any contact over a move.

And new Inter Milan owner Erick Thohir could look to pull off a third major signing from Manchester United, with left back Patrice Evra believed to be in his sights.
