Manchester United are attempting to push through a deal for Lyon’s highly-rated striker Alexandre Lacazette, who is set to make a decision on his future next week, according to reports from Metro.

The France international, who recently turned 24, was one of European football’s most talked about talents last season, with his goalscoring heroics earning headlines.

He won Ligue 1’s Golden Boot with 27 league strikes, but his efforts in other competitions saw Lacazette end the campaign with a staggering 32 to his name.

United are reportedly interested in the Stade Gerland hero, who is plotting to make a final decision on his future by the end of next week.

The Red Devils have been urged to move for Lacazette by former player Louis Saha, and his addition could remedy the loss of Radamel Falcao at Old Trafford – which has left Louis van Gaal with only Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and rookie James Wilson to call upon.
