Man United ace admits retirement is imminent

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has admitted he does not know whether he will start a 25th campaign with the club next season, according to the Express.

Giggs made his Manchester United debut more than 23 years ago, and admitted ahead of last night’s Champions League quarter final clash with Bayern Munich, that this season could well be his last.

The 40-year-old is the most decorated player in English football, but thinks it may be time to call time on his glittering career in the summer.

“I don’t know (if I will play on for another year),” Giggs admitted.

“I’ll tell you after tomorrow! I am just trying to enjoy this season and then at the end I will take stock and see what I want to do.

“I am enjoying my football as much as ever, I feel fit and then at the end of the season, I will see what I want to do.”

Giggs started last nights clash with Bayern Munich, but was withdrawn at half time with a hamstring problem, as Manchester United went on to manage a 1-1 draw with the reigning European champions.
