Manchester United have agreed a deal to bring Borussia Dortmund ace Mats Hummels to Old Trafford, according to the Express.
The 25-year-old centre-back has been linked with a move to the Premier League for most of the summer, with United constantly mentioned as the front-runners for his signature.
And after a number of impressive displays for Germany this summer, playing a huge part in their fourth World Cup triumph, new Red Devils boss Louis Van Gaal has identified him as the ideal replacement for Nemanja Vidic.
And it is now believed a deal could be completed by the end of this week as Van Gaal completes his squad overhaul at United.
Spanish paper Sport is reporting that a deal was made possible after Dortmund agreed a deal to sign Freiburg’s Matthias Gunter last week, paving the way for Hummels to arrive in the Premier League.
