Manchester United have confirmed Louis Van Gaal as the man who will replace David Moyes as manager at Old Trafford.

The Dutchman, who is currently preparing to take Holland to the World Cup in Brazil this summer, has signed a three-year deal and will have Ryan Giggs as his assistant.

The 62-year-old has won multiple titles in Hollan, Spain and Germany, as well as the Champions League, UEFA Cup, Intercontinental Cups andtwo UEFA Super Cups, will take the Old Trafford hot seat directly after the World Cup in time for the 2014/2015 season.

United Chief Executive said in a statement on the club’s official website: “In Louis van Gaal, we have secured the services of one of the outstanding managers in the game today.

“He has achieved many things in his career to date and Old Trafford provides him with a fitting stage on which to write new chapters in the Manchester United story.”

It has also been confirmed that Frans Hoek and Marcel Bout will join the club as assistant coaches.
